In 2004 Microsoft lost a law-suit to Eolas Technologies concerning “Distributed hypermedia method for automatically invoking external application providing interaction and display of embedded objects within a hypermedia document”. This resulted in a quite annoying detail when embedding flash objects. When hovered, the flash object gets a little grey-dotted border around. And if you use this as a menu, you need to click two times, one to activate the .swf and another click to press the selected button. When you crawling yourself through a website, this gets rather frustrating.

Wintzell have a solution to get rid of the border and active the flash object immideately. IE ActiveX Update – active objects.
